Keeping on keeping up

This week Northern Ireland finally catches up with the rest of the UK by moving to a decriminalised parking regime.

Of course, in the rest of the UK, council after council is finding that they didn’t actually implement this properly, and are having to cancel all the parking tickets they’ve issued (other that those of the poor trusting citizens who believed the council and paid up).

Anyone care to place a bet of NI having learnt from everywhere else’s mistakes and made sure everything was well above board here?1

Didn’t think so…

  1. Outstanding questions over whether or not the whole approach is in breach of the Bill of Rights notwithstanding. []
